Code of conduct
Treeline is a friendly group of people getting a bit stronger every Sunday. A few things keep it that way.
On the trail
- Pace is personal. Encourage effort; never shame anyone for being slower (or faster).
- Tell the group if you're turning back, and don't head off alone without saying so.
- Leave No Trace: pack out what you bring, stay on trail, leave what you find.
- Bring the basics for the forecast: water, layers, snacks, and the pass if you're driving.
With each other
- Be kind and inclusive. Harassment of any kind isn't welcome and admins may remove anyone who does it.
- If you RSVP "I'm in" and can't make it, change it so drivers and carpools know.
- Phone numbers and emails you see in Treeline stay in Treeline.
Your safety
Hiking has real risks. When you join you agree: "I know hiking has risks and I'm responsible for my own safety and gear." Nobody in Treeline is a guide; we're friends who hike together.
Questions or a problem with someone? Reply to any Treeline email and it reaches the admins.
